Warriors Improve to 13-2, Setting Mark for Best Start in Program History

Surprise, AZ – The Warriors extended their win streak to 9 matches in a row, following their sweep over OUAZ on Saturday afternoon.  Life Pacific traveled to Surprise, AZ to take on OUAZ following a hard fought 5-set victory over ACU the evening before.  Although it was a quick turnaround, LPU came out firing on all cylinders, resulting in them hitting an impressive .309 for the match.  The tempo of the match was set by the Warriors in the first set as they established their presence early and often.  They ended up taking the first set, 25-17.  That set quickly carried over into the second set, and thanks to lengthy service runs by Hannah Caddow, Mackenzie Stewart, and Lindsey Johnson, LPU ran away with the set, 25-6.  With the potential sweep on the horizon, the Spirit of OUAZ responded and took the third set down to the wire.  Despite the run by OUAZ late in the set, LPU was able to put the Spirit away by a final score of 25-23, and completed the sweep of the road trip.  With the win, LPU improves to 13-2 on the season and 4-0 in the GSAC.  The 13-2 start cements this team into the history books for LPU, as it officially is the best start in program history.

On the offensive side of things, the Warriors were led by Bailey Collette, who finished with 10 kills while hitting an impressive .692.  Hannah Caddow also had her usual impact on the attack as she finished with 10 kills herself, while also contributing 10 digs.   Maddie Robertson and Lindsey Johnson combined for 31 assists in 3 sets, which was an impressive 10 assists per set average.  On the back line, Allison Ayala was consistent as always as she paced the Warriors with 13 digs.
