Warriors Close Out Pre-Season Play With Weekend Sweep of Matches

San Dimas, CA – The Life Pacific Volleyball program closed out their impressive pre-season with 3 wins over the weekend, ultimately improving their record to 9-2 as they head into GSAC play.  On Friday evening, the Warriors overcame a late push from UC Merced, and defeated them in 5 sets.  They had a quick turnaround the following day as they played in the Cal Tech tournament, taking on University of Antelope Valley and Cal Tech.  Both of those matches were quicker matches with the Warriors sweeping UAV and defeating Cal Tech in 4 sets.

The highlight of the weekend's matches was the Warrior's first match against UC Merced.  The highlight of the match was Hannah Caddow's first 20-20 match of the season.  She led the Warriors in both kills and digs, finishing with 21 kills and 24 digs for the match.  On the attack, Audrianna Guzman and Mackenzie Stewart also played an integral part, with Guzman finishing with 12 kills and Stewart with 10 kills.  Defensively, the Warriors were extremely balanced on the back line, with 5 players finishing with 10 or more digs.  Along with Caddow's 24 digs, Allison Ayala had 21 digs.  Emma McMillan finished with 13 digs, while the two setters, Lindsey Johnson and Daniela H'Orvath, finished with 12 digs and 11 digs respectively.  Johnson did a phenomenal job sharing the ball, pacing the Warriors in assists, finishing with 32 assists.  The Warrior's presence at the net was also pivotal, finishing with 18 blocks total.
