Chandler, AZ - On Saturday morning, the Warriors traveled to Mesa, Arizona, to take on Benedictine University Mesa (AZ) in a GSAC matchup. Entering the match, BenU was 2-4-0 on the season and 0-3-0 in GSAC play. The Warriors entered the match, coming off the tie against Park on Thursday evening. On the season they stood at 0-6-1 overall and were 0-2-1 in GSAC play.
The Warriors were the aggressors on the match as they put up a total of 33 shots, with 13 of them being on goal. In the 26th minute, Brianna Figueroa was able to get the Warriors on the board as she scored her second goal of the season off a ball from Alma Carroll. The Warriors continued on the attack, as Angela Scott scored her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute off an assist from Brianna Figueroa. After gaining an early lead and going into the half up 2-0, their defense became the focus and unrelented, as Valerie Lopez finished with 11 saves on the match.
