Warriors Begin GSAC Play on Road Against Master's University

San Dimas, CA - The Warrior's pre-season play is officially closed out, with the Warriors entering the GSAC play with an overall record of 1-4.  The Warrior's victory came early on in the season, in their 3-2 defeat of Cal Tech.  The full release of the Warrior's victory can be read HERE.

 

As Life Pacific officially enters the GSAC conference play, season officially begins, as the Warriors have their sights set on a bid to the GSAC tournament.  They kick off conference play with the opening match on the road at the Master's University this Thursday.  Following that match, the Warriors will be hosting Hope International on Saturday, September 30th at the Great Park in OC.  On October 4th, Life Pacific will host Vanguard University at the University of La Verne.  After back to back home matches, they'll hit the road for the trip up north, to take on Jessup University and Menlo College.  Their regular season schedule will be closed out with the match on October 19th against #23 OUAZ and then Senior Night on October 21st, when the Warriors host Arizona Christian.

 

Statistically, the Warriors are led offensively by Angela Scott-Orihuela, who is the points and goal leader for LPU.  She has 2 goals on the season and 6 shots on goal on the season.  LPU has three other goal scorers so far this season, as Mercedes Sibrian, Brianna Figueroa, and Suriya Gomez have all scored on the season.  Ellyanna Edwards has been the anchor in the middle for the Warriors as she leads LPU with 3 assists on the season while also having 1 shot on goal.  In the net, Peyton Reynoso has started 4 of the 5 matches for LPU.  She leads the Warriors with 22 goals saved on the season, with a .733% save percentage.
