Defense Leads the Way in Warrior's Defeat of Lions

San Dimas, CA - On Tuesday evening, the Warriors faced off against Bethesda University for the second time this season.  They pulled out the victory by a final score of 70-49.  The Warriors were able to force 33 turnovers by the Lions, resulting in 27 Warrior points off of turnovers.  They were led offensively by Ysabel Puente, who finished with 20 points and 3 assists for the game.  Calista Arzaga finished with 12 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals.  Chloe Zazueta provided a needed spark off the bench as she finished with 11 points and 3 rebounds.  Mikayla Murphy finished with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals. 

With the victory, LPU improves to 4-9 on the season and they will be heading into the Christmas break in the victory column.  They'll return to the court on December 29th as they travel to UC San Diego for an exhibition matchup.
