Lancaster, CA - The Warriors opened up their season with a non-conference road matchup against Antelope Valley. Last year, the Warriors dropped their first game of the season against Antelope Valley by a final score of 76-42. This year was a completely different story, as the Warriors controlled the game from the start of the 2nd half, winning the game 59-55. With the game being the first one of the season, there was rust on both sides as the teams combined for 40 turnovers on the game, with LPU being responsible for 18 of them. Despite the turnovers, the Warriors had some really impressive flashes on the offensive and defensive end of the ball.
