Warriors Draw With Red Hawks in GSAC Matchup

Mesa, AZOn Tuesday evening, the Warrior's Men's Soccer program traveled East to Arizona to face off against Benedictine Mesa in a makeup game from the heat cancellation that happened earlier this season.  In the Red Hawks and Warriors matchup last week, the Warriors dropped to the Red Hawks, 2-0.  Things would look differently the second time around as the Warriors ended up finishing the match with the 4th ranked Red Hawks in a 1-1 tie, earning the Warriors a GSAC point in the standings.

In the 13th minute of the match, Senior Forward, Ramiro Piza, scored his first goal of the season.  They would continue to hold the lead deep into the 2nd half, but the Red Hawks were able to eventually captialize on 1 of their 13 shots on goal, as they evened things up in the 72nd minute.  For the match, the Warrior's goalies were outstanding as they saved a combined 11 saves for the match, as Ozzy Morales finished with 7 saves and Caleb Moreno finished with 4 saves.

The Warriors will look to build off the momentum of the tie as they travel to Prescott tomorrow evening to take on Embry-Riddle (AZ) in a GSAC matchup.
