Fier's Career Day Propels Warriors to 90-72 Victory

San Dimas, CA - The Warriors continued their GSAC play on Saturday afternoon as they hosted the Red Hawks of Benedictine University Mesa.  The Warriors controlled the majority of the matchup as they were able to win the game with a final score of 90-72.  The Warriors were led by Vince Fier, as he finished with a career-high 30 points and 12 rebounds, while also coming away with 3 steals and a block.  Austin Cook finished with 22 points and 4 assists.  Rico Hopping had 18 points off of the bench, while finishing the game 1 rebound shy of a double-double as he had 9 rebounds.  Albert Matute also finished in double-digits as he had 12 points.

 

With the victory, LPU improves to 8-3 on the season and 2-1 in the GSAC.  They will be back on the court next weekend as they travel to Arizona next week to take on OUAZ and ACU.
