Prescott, AZ - The Warriors entered GSAC play with an overall record of 6-2 and were on a 3-game win streak. They kicked off their conference play on the road as they traveled to Prescott, Arizona on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors maintained control of the game for the majority of the game, as they were able to extend their lead to 22 points mid-way through the second half. The Eagles were able to battle back as they narrowed the lead to a one-score game late in the 2nd half. Despite the effort from Embry-Riddle to make a comeback, the Warriors pulled through and won the game by a final score of 80-72. All five starters for the Warriors scored in double-digits, as Austin Cook led the way with 21 points.
With the victory, LPU improves to 7-2 on the season and 1-0 in the GSAC. They will be back on Mehl Court on Thursday, January 9th, as they host Park University at 7:30pm PST.
