Effective June 1, 2022, LPU is excited to announce the naming of Davis Nuaimi as Director of Athletics. Nuaimi has been the department's Interim Director of Athletics for the last 9 months and the University is thrilled to officially name him Director of Athletics going into our 2022-2023 academic year.

Before Nuaimi joined the staff at LPU, he coached basketball collegiately at his alma mater, Concordia Portland, along with being the Sports Information Assistant for their department. In his time at Concordia Portland, he was promoted to Interim Director of Game Management to finish out the year.

Davis Nuaimi joined the athletic staff of LPU in 2018 and has held many roles and executed many responsibilities to better the department. Nuaimi has served in multiple capacities, including the Athletics Operations Manager, Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, Game Management Coordinator, and Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Communication. Throughout the years, his execution of department goals/expectations has allowed him the opportunity to step into the role of Interim Director of Athletics in the Summer of 2021.

Tim Cook, Head Men's Basketball Coach and Athletics Compliance Officer, expressed his excitement for Nuaimi in this new role by stating, "It is with great honor and recognition that Davis Nuaimi is named our Athletic Director here at LPU. I have had the great distinction to see him grow throughout his years here and to see a young man who is deeply rooted in Christ. He has an incredible vision of not only LPU Athletics but what the University also entails. God has used him as a vessel and ordained his steps to bring him here. I cannot be prouder to watch the development of his leadership, integrity, and character. I'm so happy for him and his career. He will lead this Athletics program to great heights!"

Regarding the naming of Davis Nuaimi as Athletic Director, Vice President of Student Development George Bostanic, stated, "Davis has served at LPU faithfully since 2018, and has worked in a variety of roles in Athletics. In all these things, Davis has proven to be a staff member that is not only committed to the success of our Athletics program but is committed and passionate about the mission of Life Pacific University. In addition, this past year, Davis served as our Interim Athletic Director and has excelled in this role. We are honored, excited, and confident that Davis will continue to lead our Athletic programs in the right direction!"

When asked about stepping into this new role, Nuaimi stated, "God is moving here at LPU and I am grateful that He has trusted me to lead the Athletics department. We have an amazing group of Coaches and student-athletes here at Life Pacific, so it makes the job that much better when you're surrounded by selfless leaders that are committed to the success of our student-athletes. Our athletics department exists for the transformational development of our student-athletes into leaders, who use their respective sports as a vessel to serve, love, and expand the Kingdom of God. As a former collegiate student-athlete myself, it is an honor to play a part in our student-athlete's lives and in their walks with Christ. I have had the pleasure serving under the former AD, Tim Cook, and he has been instrumental in my development as a leader and a man of God. I am also extremely grateful to our President, Angie Richey, the VP of Student Development, George Bostanic, our Athletics staff, and the LPU Cabinet and BOT for their support and belief in me as I step into this role.
