LIFE PACIFIC - 3 VS. LA SIERRA - 1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-13, 25-14)
Fullerton, CA – On Friday morning, the Warriors faced off against future GSAC member, La Sierra, in the first match of the HIU Summer Slam. The Warriors came out victorious at the end of the match, defeating the Eagles 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-13, 25-14). Bailey Collette has continued her stellar play to the start of the season as she paced the Warriors in kills, finishing with 11 while hitting an impressive .381 for the match. In Jocelyn Hernandez's first match in a Warrior uniform, she was tremendous, finishing with 10 kills and 3 blocks, while hitting .450. Jadyn Armstrong and Lindsey Johnson continued their steady play distributing the ball as Armstrong finished with 16 assists, 4 service aces, and 4 digs. Johnson finished with 13 assists and 2 digs. Kate Smith continued her balanced performance, leading LPU in digs with 14, while also finishing with 8 kills and 2 aces. Peyton Ertle and Diana Castro made their presence feltin the middle, as they both finished the match with 3 blocks.

Fullerton, CA – While the first match of the day was a dominant performance by the Warriors, the second match would prove to be more of a battle vs. Northwest University (WA). The Warriors were staring down a 2-1 deficit, but were able to battle back and take the last 2 sets, completing the 5 set victory, 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-19, 15-12). The Warriors were led offensively by Bailey Collette who finished the match with a season-high 15 kills, while also contributing 8 digs and 4 blocks. Jadyn Armstrong was dominant in the second match, as she led the match with 22 assists, while tallying 13 digs and 4 service aces. Four different Warriors finished in double-digits with digs, as Kei'ana Pascua led the way with 20 digs. Freshman, Diana Castro, set the freshman record in blocks as she finished the match with 7 kills and 9 digs.
