Warriors Open HIU Classic With Decisive Win Over Waldorf (IA)

Fullerton, CA - On Monday evening, the Warriors faced off against Waldorf University (Iowa) in the first game of the Hope International Basketball Classic.  Thanks in part to a dominant third quarter that saw their lead push to 30 points, the Warriors were able to come out victorious by a final score of 82-60.  With the win, the Warriors continue the impressive start to their season as they improve to 9-2.  Rachel Spinosa and Faith Schwantner led the way for LPU, as Spinosa finished the game with 18 points, while Schwantner finished with 17 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals.  Mikayla Murphy had a strong impact off of the bench, as she finished the game with 9 points and led the Warriors in rebounding with 6.

 

LPU is back at it tomorrow evening, as they take on Antelope Valley for the second time this season in Day 2 of the Hope International Basketball Classic.
